The Yehudi Menuhin School
Yehudi Menuhin founded his school in 1963 to provide a place for musically gifted children from around the world to develop their talents to the highest level within a nurturing and stimulating academic environment. Thumpy© the thumb flute is a relatively simple instrument with a surprisingly natural sound. It is a charming and exciting way to learn to flute and to develop a stable and flexible embouchure. Thumpy has lots of possibilities for improvisations and games in groups. This new flute has been designed and developed by Dutch flutist-composer Wil Offermans. It is produced by Studio E.

Thumpy is a great instrument for children before they move on to the Boehm-flute. A Thumpy Book is available.
