Courses offered: Individual inst tuition, ens, bands, gr examinations; students encouraged to play in ens/band and take music theory lessons. Bands and ens perform regularly in the local and wider communities. CD/DVD recordings encouraged, as well as the formation of student chambr ens. Entry requirements: subject to consultation, parental meeting and student auditions. Ens entries subject to audition and availability; no formal auditions for bands or ens. No of places: 492. Fees: Individual tuition £28-35 per hr; ens £8 per hr, other fees on application. ISM Contractual Agreements scheme.
