The Yehudi Menuhin School
Yehudi Menuhin founded his school in 1963 to provide a place for musically gifted children from around the world to develop their talents to the highest level within a nurturing and stimulating academic environment. The School provides a holistic musical and academic education for around 85 pupils (age 8-19) with specialist tuition on the stringed instruments, piano and classical guitar. Most are boarders with around 10 day pupils. Fees are means-tested with around 90% of pupils requiring some form of financial aid, either from the Music and Dance Scheme or from donated bursaries.
