The Winchester Waytes
Medieval/Tudor/renaissance costumed band/ens, a recreation of the city/royal band of Winchester (the ancient capital of England). Civic receptions, TV recordings and broadcasts, CD recording work, corporate functions as well as recitals and other suitable musical outlets. Music from 11th to late 17th C. An ens in residence at Winchester Music School; works with students and adults within Foundation Music at the University of Winchester and in the local and wider Winchester, Hampshire and surrounding county communities. Lottery funded projects and schools w/shops.
