King's College London

Courses: BMus (3). P/grad: MMus (in theory and analysis, comp or historical musicology) (1 f/t; 2 p/t); MPhil/PhD (min 2/3 ft; 4/6 pt). Music facilities: At King's College the aim is to develop hand, ear and mind together. The role of perf and comp in the dept notwithstanding, the university's focus is on music thought, with the historical and theoretical approaches to the art, studied as part of the scholarly traditions of the humanities. The dept calls on a large number of visiting scholars to supplement its small staff, and the wide-ranging facilities and resources of the associated RAM.
