The National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCoS) was established in 1996 to provide opportunities for young people, teachers and choir directors to support and develop choral singing across Scotland. Artistically led by Christopher Bell, NYCoS caters for young people aged 0-25 through Mini Music Makers (0-7 years), NYCoS Area Choirs (7-18 years), NYCoS National Boys Choir (10-16 years), NYCoS National Girls Choir (12-16 years) and the flagship National Choir Youth Choir of Scotland (16-25 years).

The RSNO Junior Chorus is one of the finest youth choirs in the UK. With around 400 members aged 7 - 18 years, the singers follow a Kodaly-based musicianship training programme, under the artistic directorship of Chorus Director Christopher Bell. The RSNO Junior Chorus perform regularly with the RSNO at concerts across Scotland and also tour in their own right.
