To audition for GYJO you will need to be of Grade 6 or above and have a good understanding of the jazz idiom and scales. GYJA welcomes committed young musicians from Grade 4 and above. Grades are only a guide to the level required. More important is a strong commitment and positive attitude alongside good sight reading, confident improvising, musicianship and ensemble skills.
