We're delighted to be representing the brilliant Faure Piano Quartet in the UK. They have been performing together for over 20 years and are recognised worldwide as leaders in the field. Not only do they perform and record a very wide range of the riches of the piano quartet repertoire, but embrace different art forms to broaden their reach to schoolchildren and students through staged events and dance. Their wide-ranging recordings range from Brahms Op 25 and 60 (2008 Chamber Music of the Year Award) to 'Popsongs' produced by Sven Helbig. faurequartett.de
Trio Nobile, Clélia Iruzun, piano Anthony Flint, violin; Johann Sebastien Paetsch, cello. Each member of the Trio brings their own wealth of experience and love of the piano trio repertoire to the ensemble. Tony has enjoyed an illustrious career as a concertmaster worldwide whilst also performing as soloist and chamber musician. During his career, Johann has enjoyed collaborating with eminent musicians as soloist and chamber musician, his extensive experience building from childhood. Clélia, who studied in the UK, and in her native Brazil where she tours regularly as soloist and chamber musician, adds her interpretation and love of the music of the Americas to the unique programmes Trio Nobile offer.
We've managed The Parkhouse Award since 1991. It was founded in 1990 in memory of the internationally renowned chamber pianist David Parkhouse. It is an international competition for piano-based ensembles from duo to piano quartet and takes place biennially. Previous Parkhouse Award winners include the Grieg Trio, Faure Quartet, Notos Quartet, Katharine Gowers/Charles Owen duo, Nils Moenkemeyer/Nicholas Rimmer duo, Lora Dimitrova/Hanna Weinmeister duo, DIMENSION, the Fournier Trio, the Amatis Trio (now a BBC Radio 3 New Generation ensemble). In April 2017 Trio Sora from France won the prize of three concerts in London venues, usually St John's Smith Square, Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall, over a two-year period. It is an extremely valuable prize for ensembles at the beginning of their careers. parkhouseaward.com
