MusicNet East & Hertfordshire Music Service: Routes into Teaching World Music Day
A one-day workshop for musicians, instrumental teachers, workshop leaders, recent graduates and final year students and who would like to find out more about teaching world music in schools. The day includes: - Participatory sessions about leading large groups of young people on Gamelan, Taiko, Steel Pans and using a world music approach with ‘conventional’ instruments. - Ideas for warm ups and behaviour management tips from experienced workshop leaders - Information about further training and teaching opportunities with Hertfordshire Music Service
