Orchestra of Sound and Light is an educational initiative of the New Music Players, designed to spread the experience and excitement of ensemble performance with visuals to schools, further and higher education, and other settings. OSL is a core ensemble of five players, flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano, conducted by Ed Hughes. Key aims: - to share the experience of ensemble playing by embedding all kinds of players – classical and non-classical – alongside our core of five top professional classical musicians - to explore and promote the language of music and silent film.
