New Music Players
NMP is a top UK ensemble specialising in contemporary music. Founded by British composer and artistic director Ed Hughes, its commissions and many premieres have included composers such as Howard Skempton, Rolf Hind, James Wood, Michael Finnissy. Recent projects include a critically acclaimed DVD of Ed Hughes's opera 'When the Flame Dies'; an international tour of Ed Hughes's 'Night Music' with pianists Richard Casey and Joseph Houston; and concerts and workshops at the Warehouse, London and the University of Oxford.
