Holmfirth Arts Festival

Annual multi-arts event in Jun presenting a fresh take on the town, its history and its communities through newly commissioned work, community and participatory projects. The 2014 festival explores the town's complex relationship with water in the 70th anniversary of the devastating 1944 floods, which re-shaped the town. Using the floods as a starting point, the festival will explore notions of flow, channels of influence and journeys, on the eve of the Tour de France's Grand Depart coming through the town en route to the iconic Holme Moss climb.
