The Antonine Trio (Sue Baxendale/horn, Steven Faughey/baritone and Derek Clark/piano) was formed in the summer of 2009. As a group, they explore the exciting musical potential of this combination and develop the available repertoire. Their programme already includes Frank Spedding: ‘Old English Songs,’ Vaughan Williams: ‘The Roadside Fire,’ Antony Plog: ‘Aesop’s Fables,’ Strauss: ‘Nocturno,’ Volker David Kirchner: ‘Orfeo,' Derek Clarke ‘Chamber Music,’ Arnold Cooke: ‘Nocturnes,’ Lehrer: ‘Poisoning Pigeons in the Park,’ Burns arr. S. Adams: ‘Ae Fond Kiss’ and ‘Gae Bring Tae Me.'
