From summer 2017 Lake District Summer Music, for 32 years a combined festival and summer school for students in Cumbria, is changing its pattern of activity. It will include a series of ‘Festival Début Concerts’ by selected performers, and the young artists will also be offered coaching by performers appearing at the festival, and public or private masterclasses. From 2018 onwards an intensive spring course for young performers is planned, and the best participants will be offered a platform at the summer festival. Dates: 1st-14th August 2020
