Michel De Souza

Brazilian baritone Michel de Souza began his musical training with the Canarinhos de Petropolis boys’ choir. He graduated in organ from the School of Music of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where he continued to study singing. He later worked with the tenor Benito Maresca in Sao Paulo and then completed a Masters Degree in Opera with distinction at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama. He has won first prize in the Maria Callas Vocal Competition in Sao Paulo and the Margaret Dick and Ye Cronies Competitions at the RSAMD.
