In 2008 whilst studying musicology, voice and piano in Montpellier , Marianne Crebassa aged just 21 was engaged by the Opera de Montpellier for Schumann’s Manfred conducted by Hervé Niquet. Since then she has been invited annually to the Opera and the Festival de Radio France for projects including Pizetti’s Fedra, Debussy’s Le Martyr de Saint Sebastian conducted by Alain Altinoglu, and Bellini’s Zaira, La Traviata and Lehar’s Friederike, conducted by Lawrence Foster.
Tenor Mario Chang, a native of Guatemala City, Guatemala, recently completed the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at The Metropolitan Opera and the Advanced Diploma in Opera Studies program at the Juilliard School. In the 2014 – 2015 season, Mr. Chang will join Frankfurt Oper as an ensemble member where he will sing Rodolfo in La Bohème, the Italian Singer in a new production of Der Rosenkavalier, Cassio in Otello, and Edwin Ronald von und zu Lippert-Weylersheim in concert performances of Die Csárdásfürstin.
Romanian tenor, Marius Manea, became a principal artist in the ensemble of the Romanian National Opera, Bucharest, in 2005, after he graduated from the Transylvania University in Brasov. Previously, he made his professional debut with the Brasov State Opera as Don Ottavio Don Giovanni and further appeared as a principal soloist at Opera Timisoara and the National Opera Cluj. International co-productions took him to Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, England, Norway and Japan in roles that have become the backbone of his repertoire in Bucharest: Rodolfo La Boheme, etc.
