The Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin (RSB) dates back to the first hour of musical broadcasting by Deutscher Rundfunk in October 1923. Since then it has been able to develop its position enduringly as one of Berlin's top orchestras, and in the highest echelon of German radio orchestras. In September 2017 Vladimir Jurowski became principal conductor and musical director of the RSB. Marek Janowski was musical director of the RSB before him, from 2002 to 2015, leading it highly successfully in symphonic concerts and concertante opera performances.

Rune Bergmann is best described as a musically inspiring young conductor of both opera and symphonic programmes as well as the Director of the Fjord Cadenza Festival in Norway. The Runnymede Choir is open to children from Year 4 upwards by audition. The choir performs at school events such as concerts, carol services, festivals and the summer musical play. It has performed at Alder Hey and the Royal Liverpool Hospitals, Capital of Culture events, Liverpool Town Hall, St George’s Hall, Liverpool FC and various venues. The Runnymede Orchestra is open to all orchestral instrumentalists and have reached a minimum of Grade 1 standard. Singers and instrumentalists of all ages and abilities perform throughout the year in music lessons, Collective Worship and concerts.

Russell Hepplewhite has won critical acclaim for his groundbreaking operas for children, including Laika the Spacedog, which toured the UK extensively as part of English Touring Opera's national tour in 2013, and it has since won two major awards at the prestigious Armel International Opera Festival before its subsequent transfer to Avignon Opera in November 2013. The production will next tour in Germany.
In 2014 Russell’s opera, Borka the Goose with No Feathers – one of the most well-known and loved of all children’s books – also toured the UK with English Touring Opera.
