Rachel Barton Pine made her orchestral debut at the age of 7, performing the Haydn Violin Concerto in G Major with the Chicago String Ensemble. Ten years later she became the first American to win the coveted gold medal in the J.S. Bach International Competition in Leipzig. She has since gone on to perform with some of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, working with conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Zubin Mehta, Neeme Järvi, Marin Alsop and John Nelson.
