Cambridge Youth Opera is an open access, community organisation. We aim to give young people in the Cambridge area the opportunity to experience all the elements that go into staging an opera. Our singers, orchestra, and design, stage and technical crew are mostly between 12 and 21 and attend schools and colleges in and around the Cambridge area. Depending on the demands of the production, we involve singers as young as eight and up to 25. Our activities are open for everybody and we engage young people in all elements of performing and staging opera. We do not charge for participation.
