Kuniko is one of the most gifted and significant percussionists of her generation. She studied with Keiko Abe in Tokyo and Robert Van Sice in Rotterdam and has won major awards including the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis and the Saji Keizo Award. She appears as a juror for international percussion competitions.
