Members are aged 12-25 upon joining, with existing members remaining until age 29.
Company is open to all with auditions being held for principal roles at the start of each rehearsal period (September and February).

An avid chamber musician, he is the founding director of the Rosendal Chamber Music Festival, and was co-artistic director of the Risør Festival of Chamber Music for nearly two decades. He was inducted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame in July 2013, and received an honorary doctorate from New York’s Juilliard School in May 2016
