Kingston Music Service (KMS) is the lead organisation for the Kingston Music Education Hub which is funded by Arts Council England. The service provides instrumental and vocal music lessons to young people in Kingston’s schools and music centres.
The services we provide enrich the lives of young people in the borough by offering opportunities to become actively involved in a wide variety of music activities.
KMS is a non-profit making organisation, receiving funding from Kingston Council.
KMS is a member of the UK Association for Music Education - Music Mark.

Kiri Te Kanawa gained legendary status almost overnight after her sensational debut as the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in 1971. At the time of her operatic debut she was already an experienced concert and recording artist, and equally at home in front of the cameras as on stage. Continuing to develop as a recitalist, she is now a much sought-after singer in a wide variety of musical contexts.
Kirill Troussov is widely recognised as one of the foremost violinists of his generation and has received consistently high critical praise for his recordings and performances. Born in St. Petersburg, he took his first violin lessons at the Rimsky-Korsakov-Conservatory in St.Petersburg at the age of four. He made his debut at the age of six with the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Arnold Katz in Moscow. He studied with Zakhar Bron and Christoph Poppen alongside mentoring from the likes of Igor Oistrakh and Sir Yehudi Menuhin.
