Freelance composer - trained at Birmingham School of Music, working with Andrew Downes and Robert Simpson, where, in 1983, he was co-winner of the BMI Prize for Composition. After a singing career he is now prioritising composition. His 'Prelude for Orchestra' was shortlisted for the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra's Composers' Day 2017. His music has been performed both nationally and in Europe and broadcast on BBC Radio. Premieres this year include 'Turbulence' for String Orchestra and 'Of Unknown Modes of Being' for Baritone and Orchestra. He is represented by Ulysses Arts of London.
