Founded in 2002 by pianist Duncan Honeybourne, Weymouth Lunchtime Chamber Concerts presents 11 recitals from September to July featuring established artists and young performers at the beginning of their career. Concerts take place in the attractive St Mary's Church in the heart of Weymouth where the society has access to a well-maintained Yamaha C6 piano.

With her superlative technique, sensitivity of touch and profound understanding of the music she plays,Yu Kosuge has become one of the world’s most noted young pianists. She has been giving recitals and performing with orchestras since early childhood. At the age of nine Yu made her debut with the Tokyo New City Orchestra. In 1993, she moved to Europe to pursue studies with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling in Hannover and Salzburg and in recent years has received great support and inspiration from András Schiff.
