IGF is a charitable organisation dedicated to the guitar, its players, and its music. We champion the guitar and music making across genres (classical/world music/pop/jazz) and also include other plucked stringed instruments like kora, sitar, oud, lute and santoor. Our work is defined by Listen (performance) Play (education) Create (new music). We focus primarily on promoting festivals, concert series, workshops, summer schools and community outreach as well as young artists development and creating new music. We aim to change people’s lives with the guitar, especially the young.
