An annual celebration of voice which takes place in the coastal village of Glenarm, County Antrim in August each year. The festival includes BBC Radio 3 recitals and an annual vocal competition for opera singers. The competition is open to singers aged 18-28 born in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland: entrants are required to be studying voice at 3rd level or privately and pursuing a career in opera. Five finalists are selected, along with a piano intern, and they perform in a live competition finale in front of an audience and a jury panel to win the Deborah Voigt Opera Prize.

The famous Free Wessex Folk Festival will be held on 1st and 2nd June 2024. It has been established for the past 20 years. It is one of the biggest free festivals in the UK, held on the picturesque Harbourside in Weymouth.
