They should be able to show that they are in good health and have financial plans in place to see them through the three years. There will be an interview and lesson(s) with the Head of Training. City of Canterbury Chamber Choir gave its first concert in October 1995 and since then has made appearances at the Canterbury, English Music and Presteigne festivals, sung at Cecilia McDowall’s 60th Birthday Concert at St John’s Smith Square and has performed with the Bushey and Dartford symphony orchestras. The group has a regular season of concerts and workshops in and around Canterbury.
The choir features on four commercial recordings of music by Cecilia McDowall and Michael Hurd for Dutton Epoch and is admired for its performance of contemporary and 20th century repertoire.
