Our year runs from the beginning of September until the end of April. We hold an autumn concert in November followed by a Carol Concert at St Mary's Church, Old Amersham in December. This inc a free Children's Concert as part of our afternoon rehearsal. In April we hold our Spring Concert as part of the Amersham Festival of Music. As an optional extra we hold a Summer Concert. Founded in 1972, through the efforts of its previous conductors, has established an extensive repertoire and a reputation as one of the most prestigious choruses in Taiwan. From the 140-voice chorus, a smaller 40-voice choir is selected to tour and to perform more selected musical works. This group, known as "Taipei Philharmonic Chamber Choir", has an impressive history of overseas performances. The chorus and the chmbr choir together have been collaborated or invited to perform with famous conductors and orchs in many different festivals and countries.

TCS was founded in 1951 and has since performed in some very prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall and at Kneller Hall with the Band of the Royal Military School of Music.
We are a mixed community Choir composed by more than 110 members.
New singers are always welcome. We rehearse and perform with our sense of humour switched on.
TCS is under the direction of Julian Collings since beginning of 2019 and Phil Culling is its accompanist.
