The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is Australia’s oldest orchestra, established in 1906. The Orchestra currently performs live to more than 200,000 people in over 150 performances annually.
Sir Andrew Davis gave his inaugural concerts as Chief Conductor of the MSO in April 2013, having made his debut with the Orchestra in 2009. The MSO also works each season with Associate Conductor Benjamin Northey and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
Its performances are regularly broadcast on ABC Classic FM, also streamed online, and the MSO records annually for Chandos and ABC Classics.

Over its long history, the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra – the symphony orchestra of the Town and the Province of Salzburg – has grown to become an international ambassador for Mozart's native town. With two concert series of its own – the Sunday Matinees in the famous Large Festival Hall and the Thursday Concerts in the festive ambience of the Mozarteum Foundation – the Orchestra plays a substantial part in Salzburg's eventful musical life.
