Reading Festival Chorus is an amateur mixed choir first established in 1945 with a current membership of 60 singers. We perform three to four concerts a year of sacred and secular music ranging from early to contemporary music in varied venues in and around Reading. The aim of RFC is to give the people of Reading and its surrounding communities the opportunity to learn, perform and hear varied choral music of the highest standard. We warmly welcome enthusiastic singers who are reasonably proficient at reading music and are able to commit to regular attendance at rehearsals and concerts.
8-32 singers, 10-20 performances per year, inc 1-2 productions for radio and CD. Other than a cappella, the choir appears exclusively with the baroque orch Das Kleine Konzert, directed by Hermann Max.

Formed in 1871 for the opening of the Royal Albert Hall, the RCS rehearses weekly in London and sings regularly in the Royal Albert Hall and in venues around the UK. The Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus is South Yorkshire’s foremost large mixed-voice chorus. We regularly sing with leading orchestras including the Hallé, the BBC Philharmonic, the Northern Sinfonia and the Manchester Camerata, and with internationally renowned conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda, Nicholas Kraemer, David Hill, Ryan Wigglesworth and James Burton.
