A three-day residential college run by The British Association of Barbershop Singers. It takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend at the Jubilee Campus of the University of Nottingham. Our acclaimed weekend for conductors and singers comes to the Scottish Highlands for the first time! This brand-new weekend offers a choice of choral conducting courses, including Foundation, Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2 (for those with experience at this level). The Swiss Symphony Orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales Suisse was founded in 1990 as a summer academy and offers around 90 young musicians each year the opportunity to develop a symphonic program and perform in major concert halls. The rehearsals and the three final concerts are led by highly qualified musicians.
A body percussion group is also a popular part of the course.
The orchestra academy is conducted in French, German, Italian and English.
