In his teens, countertenor Christophe Dumaux took part in masterclasses with James Bowman and Noelle Barker. He continued his studies at the Paris Conservatoire. 2002, aged just 22, he made a spectacular professional debut singing Eustazio in Handel’s Rinaldo at the Festival de Radio France, Montpellier. This production, conducted by René Jacobs, was coproduced by the Innsbruck Festival and the Berlin Staatsoper and a disc released by Harmonia Mundi. He is since invited for engagements at major houses and festivals - the Metropolitan New York, Glyndebourne Festival.
Robson has made a unique contribution to the world of concert & opera, and is respected for the energy & commitment of his performances. Early years as a young soloist culminated in his 1981 debut at the English National Opera. He won critical acclaim for his performances at the ENO and other opera houses & festivals worldwide. In 1994 he made his debut with the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, creating a unique artistic niche for himself in 10 productions over 13 years. In 2003 the Bavarian State honoured him with the title Bayerischer Kammersänger.
