Anthony Negus
Anthony Negus is Music Director of Longborough Festival Opera and gained international authority as a conductor and coach of Wagner’s works. At LFO he conducted the acclaimed Ring Cycle in 2013, Tristan und Isolde in 2015 and Tannhäuser in 2016. In 2017 he returns for a revival of Tristan and a new production of The Magic Flute. He is also Music Director of Opra Cymru. Richard Morrison of The Times said of the Longborough Ring Cycle - 2013 "...But the driving force has been the conductor, Anthony Negus, for whom the epithet "the Reggie Goodall of our time" doesn’t seem too strong."
