Eligibility: Open to all voice categories for singers aged 18-32 who are ready to perform on world opera stage. Requirements: 4 opera arias prepared in original language; applicants may choose 2 Zarzuela arias Several rounds, inc application round with recordings of 2 arias of applicant’s choice. Prizes: 1st prize $30,000, 2nd prize $20,000, 3rd prize $10,000, each for best male and best female singer. Also prizes for best Zarzuela singers, and audience prizes. Location: Different city each year. Frequency: Annual.
