BMus Hons Jazz (4), GradDip Jazz (1). Specialist courses which aim to develop students' technical and improvisational skills through individual first study and practical w/shops. The course places particular emphasis on perf in small ens, but there is also a big band and a jazz orch. Regular study is supported by m/classes with eminent visiting jazz musicians. Numerous perf opportunities. Specialised jazz courses are also available within the Junior Conservatoire and at graduate diploma and PG levels.
