Music facilities: Purpose-built music centre. Specialist accommodation, dance and drama studios, 5 mus tech studios, 4 pop music band rooms, 35 small practice studios and teaching rooms. Substantial music library. Many perf groups inc orch & full choir, chmbr choir, pop, br, wind and jazz bands, str orch, opera group and world music groups. Frequent public concerts in college and externally. The Centre for Music and Performing Arts offers a medium-size conservatoire with a university-style dept; study is both practical and academic.
