Loren L Zachary Society National Vocal Competition for Young Opera Singers
Eligibility: Open to female singers aged 21-33 and male singers aged 21-35 resident in N America and ready to pursue a professional operatic stage career. Requirements: 6 operatic arias, 3 languages (1 language must be German). Prizes: 1st prize $10,000; approx $50,000 of prize money to be distributed to finalists. Entry fees: $35. Location: Preliminaries and semi-finals in New York and Los Angeles. Dates: Grand final in June; preliminaries/semifinals in February (New York) and March (Los Angeles). Frequency: Annual.
