March 11 - 18, 2019 Purpose: To encourage & support excellence in the performance of classical piano music by showcasing the talents of pianists on the threshold of their careers in a competition adjudicated by internationally acclaimed judges. Eligibility: pianists ages 18 -30 Prizes: (1st) $15,000 plus performance with Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra; recital at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall; recording on Steinway & Sons label; additional performance opportunities; (2nd) $10,000; (3rd) $5,000; three medalists, $1000 each; Sascha Gorodnitzki Memorial Awards $1,000. Entrance Fee: $135
