Founded in 1971. Produces 2 operas per year under professional music and artistic direction. Inspires young people with a love of singing through opera and drama. Recent productions include Sweeney Todd (Sondheim), The Magic Flute (Mozart) and the British premiere of Appomattox (Philip Glass). Members are aged 12-25 upon joining, with existing members remaining until age 29. Company is open to all with auditions being held for principal roles at the start of each rehearsal period (September and February). New members welcome!
