BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra
Professional; Founded in December 1935 (since 2006 based at City Halls in Glasgow). Appears at Britain's most prestigious events and plays in venues all over Scotland; also tours abroad. The majority of its performances, whether in the concert hall or studio, are broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
