Chris Hutchings is an award-winning choral composer with an extensive catalogue for various choirs, and also chamber music. Available for commissions for any size and level of choir. Recent commissions include "Janya" for JMCO through the "Adopt A Composer" scheme, and "Adeste Fideles" for Wimbledon Choral Society, conducted by Neil Ferris. He has won several UK and international awards, including first prize in the Murau International Music Festival 2019, and his works have been broadcast on Radio 3 and Radio 4.

City of Canterbury Chamber Choir gave its first concert in October 1995 and since then has made appearances at the Canterbury, English Music and Presteigne festivals, sung at Cecilia McDowall’s 60th Birthday Concert at St John’s Smith Square and has performed with the Bushey and Dartford symphony orchestras. The group has a regular season of concerts and workshops in and around Canterbury.
The choir features on four commercial recordings of music by Cecilia McDowall and Michael Hurd for Dutton Epoch and is admired for its performance of contemporary and 20th century repertoire.
