This August, the magnificent Medieval cathedral of Southwell Minster, will once again provide the spectacular backdrop for the bourgeoning Southwell Music Festival. Highlights include the evening concert on Saturday 25th August in the Minster featuring a performance of Elgar’s Cello Concerto by BBC Young Musician of the Year, Nottingham’s Sheku Kanneh-Mason. The full programme for the 2018 Festival will be announced at the concert in the Minster on Friday 13th April 2018. Public booking will open on Monday 4th June. Dates: 22nd-27th August 2018

The anniversary event of the world’s largest international choir competition comes up with a premiere: For the first time ever an INTERKULTUR event will happen on the African continent. All amateur choirs of the world are invited for 11 days to meet singers from all over the world in competitions, at Friendship Concerts and major singing projects. They experience at first hand the atmosphere, the very special spirit and character of South African choral music, share their common passion for singing and get inspired by each other.

Supported by the Corfu Choir Union, the "2nd Corfu International Festival & Choir Competition" will bring choral singers from all over the world to the capital of the Ionian Islands in 2018 again.
Already for the 31st time, the Franz Schubert Choir Competition and Festival will take place in the European Capital of Music, Vienna. The Sing'n'Joy concept focuses on the traditional Schubert competition but also features intercultural meetings and performances in Friendship Concerts. The competitions will be taking place in the famous Vienna Concert House ("Konzerthaus Wien").
The festival "Canta al mar" has become an essential activity in INTERKULTUR’s event calendar. All concert and competition venues in Calella are within walking distance and can therefore be combined ideally with a pleasant stroll through the historic center - a great way for choirs to meet, sing together in Friendship Concerts and get to know other nations and their individual traditions.
